| Abstract: | NMR experiments on p-nitrofluorobenzene dissolved in a nematic solvent are reported. It is shown that the 19F chemical shift tensor does not possess axial symmetry around the CF bond. For σaa ? σbb a value of 81 ppm, for σcc ? σbb a value of 156 ppm is determined. |
