| Abstract: | Deactivation rates of spin-orbit excited Br*(2P) atoms by halogens I2, Br2, and Cl2 and interhalogens IBr, ICl and BrCl have been measured by laser-excited, time-resolved infrared emission techniques. The results are effectively explained in terms of a collision complex formation model. |
