Abstract: | The new, fluorinated benzoxathiinopyrazole 4 and the hitherto unknown fluorinated benzoxathiinodihydropyridine 5 can be produced by reacting the title compound 1 with cyanoacetic hydrazide ( 3 ) in the presence of sodium acetate. The structures of the compounds 4 and 5 were confirmed with the help of spectroscopic techniques, and their respective paths of formation have been discussed. The structure of the ester 1 was extensively studied by single crystal X-ray analysis, then compared with that of the unfluorinated phenylsulfonate 2 . |
