Statistical considerations from quantized electron conductance in nanowires and nanotubes

Abstract:The transmission probability associated with the expression which gives the properly fractional quantized electron conductance through some nanowires is interpreted as corresponding to a discrete random variable represented by the involved quantum number. Our considerations are common to both carbon nanotubes and metallic nanowires.
