Resonance Raman spectrum of the complex [(C2H5)4N] AuBr4

A resonance Raman spectrum of the complex (C₂H₅)₄N] AuBr₄ has been observed by use of 457.9 nm Ar⁺ excitation. Three progressions in the totally symmetric stretching fundamental ν₁ (a_1g) have been observed, viz. nν₁ (as far as n = 9), ν₂ + nν₁ (as far as n = 1), and ν₄ + nν₁ (as far as n = 6). The spectroscopic constants ω₁ and x₁₁ have been determined from an analysis of the nν₁ and ν₄ + nν₁ progressions.
