Resonance Raman spectrum of the complex [(C2H5)4N] AuBr4

Abstract:A resonance Raman spectrum of the complex (C2H5)4N] AuBr4 has been observed by use of 457.9 nm Ar+ excitation. Three progressions in the totally symmetric stretching fundamental ν1 (a1g) have been observed, viz. nν1 (as far as n = 9), ν2 + nν1 (as far as n = 1), and ν4 + nν1 (as far as n = 6). The spectroscopic constants ω1 and x11 have been determined from an analysis of the nν1 and ν4 + nν1 progressions.
