| Abstract: | The rate constants for the deactivation of Ar3P2 metastables by 26 different molecules were measured and the corresponding cross sections calculated. The measurements were done in a “flowing” afterglow system; the Ar3P2 being produced by a low power microwave discharge. The concentration of Ar3P2 is measured by light absorption at 8115 Å. |
