Abstract: | The electrical resistivity of Metglas 2826A has been measured, during heating at constant rate from room temperature to about 850°C. The ?(T) curves exhibit three “steps”, which are shown to correspond to the crystallization stages of Metglas 2826A. From the resistivity increase at the second “step” we conclude, that crystalline (Ni, Fe, Cr)3(P, B) is a poorer electric conductor than the amorphous material with the same composition. At temperatures above the third crystallization stage the ?(T) curves suggest atomic rearrangements in the material that are not detected by differential thermal analysis. |
