Abstract: | The efficiency of cyclohexane oxidation with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by vanadyl acetylacetonate at 40 °C and atmospheric pressure is enhanced by glyoxal additive. The process selectively produces a mixture of cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, cyclohexanol, and cyclohexanone with a high rate (up to 4400 catalyst turnover number). Cobalt(II) acetylacetonate is much less active but more selective with respect to cyclohexyl hydroperoxide.__________Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk.
