Abstract: | The properties of melt-spun Ti50Ni25Cu25 alloy have been investigated by multiple thermocycling (up to 8000 cycles) within the martensitic transformation temperature range under constant mechanical stress from 5 to 200MPa, using electric current heating. A nearly linear relation is established between the alloy strain and electric resistance, which is independent of the applied stress and the number of thermal cycles. |
