本文提出用参数设计和容差设计同时完成的新方法扩大产品原器件的容差，来改进生产。

On Allowance Design

In some optimized problems the indexes of interest are more than one, besides, in some other optimized problems we don't require a certain index to be value assigned,instead, require it in a certain interval such as the index 3dB bandwidth of a filter. In the later case we will also discuss the following two questions: (1) How to obtain the products of high quality, and (2) under the condition that the products of high quality have been. obtained,which of the components will be decreased in their grades in order the total benefit to be the best. The two questions described above, the former belongs to the categories of system design and parameter design and the later belongs to the category of allowance design, The paper suggests that in the case of multi-index we can also discuss. the problem of allowance design without the necessity to construct a quality loss function and takes the filter of a recorder as an example to explain the method of allowance design to be completed together with the parameter design.
