Abstract:The development of a GC/MS quantitive analysis method has been described for the determination of hazardous arylamines on the textiles dyed with the azo-dyes. Azodyestuff on the textile samples can be converted into the initial intermate amines while being processed by sodium dithionite reductive system in the buffer media (pH=6), After an offline solid-phase extraction and clean-up procedure, extraction solution can be detected and confirmed by gas chromatograhy with mass selective detection. The detection limits for the arylamines are in the range of 15-30 mg/kg samples. The average recovery is 83%. The representative textile samples have been undertaken by this quantiative analysis and comparity test successfully.
