Progress of the Nucleic Acid with the Mismatched Base Pairs

The structure and thermodynamics of the mismatched nucleic acids were introducted. The current research on the nucleic acids with the mismatched base pairs were reviewed. All of these work are good for elucidating the recognition and repair mechanisms for mismatched nucleic acids, as well as predicting the secondary strutures. The studies provide a solid base and diverse strategies to carry out the design and synthesis of the new repair enzymes for nucleic acids.
