Muonic Molecules: Beyond the Coulomb Model

Abstract:We report the latest numerical results for the binding energy of the weakly bound states of the muonic molecules (ddμ)11 and (dtμ)11 obtained with account of the leading QED, relativistic and nuclear structure effects, as well as of the interactions within the molecular complexes. The uncertainty of the theoretical value of the binding energy of (ddμ)11 does not exceed 0.1 meV. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.
