Abstract:A thermodynamic study of the water—dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) system is presented. The features of the system are investigated by means of calorimetric and potentiometric measurements.The thermodynamics of the proton transfer process of mono-substituted benzoic acids, the linear-free energy relationship between meta and para derivatives, and ortho-effects are also presented.
