| Abstract: | Measurements of resistivity and lattice constants are reported for the Y0.98RE0.02Ni2 series of alloys. Both the Ce and the La alloys show strong anomalies in volume and resistivity increment, especially at low temperatures. This is the first indication for a valence instability on an impurity of La. |
