| Abstract: | An asymmetric synthesis of the piperidine alkaloid (+)-β-conhydrine has been developed starting from (R)-protected glyceraldehyde as the chiral precursor using Barbier allylation, azide nucleophilic substitution, and ring-closing metathesis as the key steps. |
