Stagnant zones in viscoplastic media

The problem of the flow of a viscoplastic medium with linear viscosity, resulting from the motion of a rigid cylinder of arbitrary cross section has been considered by Oldroyd 1]. In 2] the author finds several exact particular solutions of this problem. Problems of a similar nature have also been examined in 3–4], In the following we consider the formation of stagnant zones in viscoplastic media.
