Abstract: | The superconducting transition temperatures of alloys have been measured. They peak at a temperature of 3.8 K at 20 a/o U. Similar behavior is seen for Cr, Mo, and W indicating that U in Ti behaves like a hexavalent transition metal and is not magnetic. Magnetic susceptibility measurements support this viewpoint. |
