Abstract:	The reaction of sodium (ethoxycarbonyl)cyclopentadienide C₅H₄(CO₂Et)]Na (1) with the salt MeC(NMe₂)(OMe)]MeSO₄] leads to the substituted pentafulvene 1,3-(Me₂NCMe)-(CO₂Et)C₅H₃. Its photochemical reaction with iron-naphthalene complex CpFe(C₁₀H₈)PF₆] gives homoannularly 1,3-disubstituted ferrocene {1,3-(CO₂Et)(COMe)C₅H₃}Fe(C₅H₅).
