Computation of feasible control trajectories for the navigation of a ship around an obstacle in the presence of a sea current

Abstract:A ship has to move from a point A to a point B and, on its way, has to circumvent an obstacle. In addition, the presence of a sea current is assumed. Using a realistic model of a tanker ship, a method is proposed for computing feasible control trajectories for the navigation of the ship.
