| Abstract: | An exact N soliton solution of the reduced Maxwell-Bloch equationsof non-linear optics is given and proved. These equations playan important dual role in non-linear optics and contain as aspecial case the sharp line self-induced transparency equationsand the sine-Gordon equation. Simple asymptotic forms of thesolutions are given. |
