摘    要:提出了一面向对象数据库系统O2S的双缓冲区机制,阐述了页面缓冲区和对象缓冲区的管理数据结构及其缓冲区内的废品回收等,双缓冲机制能有效地提高应用对象的访问效率。

Abstract:The buffering technique is one of the important methods for a database management sys-tem to maximize the data shareability while minimizing the network traffic and I/O. Thepage buffering used in conventional database systems is not adequate for supporting the char-acteristics of an object in engineering application. A double buffering,i.e.,page bufferingand object buffering management scheme for use in the object-oriented engineering databasemanagement system O2S,is proposed.The page-buffer management and object-buffer man-agement are described and the detailed data structure shareability in the object buffer pool,concurrent control and garbage recollection are given.
