| Abstract: | The enantioselective total synthesis of preclavulone-A methyl ester and its diastereomer was achieved from enantiomerically pure 5 in a stereocontrolled manner. The absolute stereochemistry of naturally occurring preclavulone-A methyl esters was determined by comparison of the [α]D value. |
