Abstract: | Gas-liquid chromatography has been employed to study bis(3-oxa-2-chloroperfluorobutyl)disulfide (S60Cl) adsorption from solutions in perfluoromethylcyclohexane, perfluorodimethylcyclohexane, perfluorodecalin, anisole, toluene, and butyl acetate on the surfaces of two iron particle samples, namely, carbonyl iron and iron produced by electric-arc recondensation. It has been shown that the pattern of adsorption isotherms is characteristic of monolayer adsorption. Parameters of S60Cl adsorption have been calculated using the linear form of the Langmuir equation. The structure of adsorption layers that provide iron particles with aggregation stability and corrosion resistance in various dispersion media has been discussed. |
