Abstract:Straightforward, high-yielding syntheses of 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydronucleoside-5′-aldehydes and 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydronucleosides starting from 2′,3′-O-orthoester derivatives of ribonucleosides are described.
