| Abstract: | It was established by studying carbohydrates of Iris pseudacorus during vegetative periods that the content of water-soluble polysaccharides in the rhizomes and roots is greatest during
seed ripening; of pectinic substances, during budding. Glycomannan was isolated from seeds.
