Numerical modeling of generation of few-cycle pulses in a mode-locked laser |

| Abstract: | We have performed numerical simulation of a laser generating few-cycle pulses in the regime of coherent mode locking. It is shown that such a laser can support generation of pulses with a duration close to the reciprocal of the main laser transition frequency of the gain medium in a wide range of laser parameters. |
