Abstract: | We consider a linear differential equation of the Fuchs class with six singular points corresponding to the problem on a conformal mapping of circular polygons in polar grids with two cuts, which arise in the theories of filtration, jets and cavitation, fluid and aero dynamics, gas dynamics, etc. We show that, by virtue of the specific properties of polygons in polar grids, the unknown constants in the conformal mapping, which are contained in the coefficients of that equation, can be completely determined in the course of the construction of special solutions. The integrals are expressed in closed form via special functions and are hence most simple and convenient for the subsequent application. |
