Mechanism of the oxidation of 12-molybdovanadophosphate blues by oxygen in aqueous solution

Abstract:Conclusions The authors investigate the kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of blues HiH3+nPMO12–nV n–1 V Vi IVO40] (n=2–6, i) by oxygen in aqueous solution and show that under these conditions the reaction takes place mainly by transfer of three electrons in the complex of oxygen with the blue.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 11, pp. 2428–2435, November, 1981.The authors would like to thank R.
