Abstract:he synthesis conditions of Ti-Si-ZSM-5 zeolite and its formation patterns were studied by using TPABr, TPAOH, 1, 6-hexanediamine andn-butylamine as a template, respectively. The effect factors on the crystallization of Ti-Si-ZSM-5 zeolite such as silicon sources, titanium sources andpH value were also studied. TS-1 zeolite can be synthesized in the presenceof small amount of Na+ or in the absence of Na+ with the addition of smallamount of TPA+. The physico-chemical properties of the TS-1 zeolite synthesized were determined. The thermal stability of the synthesized TS-1 isgood. The hydroxylation of phenol on the synthesized TS-1 zeolites at 343 Kand pH 5 gives better results, the yield of oxidation products catechol andhydroquinone is 36. 5% and 29. 0% (for template TPAOH), 25. 1% and19. 4% (for 1, 6-HDA), and 24. 0% and 18. 3% (for n-BuNH2) respectively.In this paper, the successful synthesis of TS-1 zeolite using n-butylamine astemplate is first reported.
