Abstract:The secondary metabolites and their antibacterial activities of marine actinomycetes S592 were studied. The strain S592 was fermented and the fermentation products were separated and purified by chromatography. The structures of the compounds were identified by spectroscopic techniques, and their antibacterial activities in vitro were determined. Six compounds were isolated from marine actinomycete S592, including two lobophorins, one cyclic peptide, two benzamides and one quinazolinone compound. All six compounds showed different inhibitory effects against at least one pathogen. Among them, six compounds had inhibitory activity on MRSA 28300, and four compounds had inhibitory activity on Mycobacterium smegmatis, the inhibitory activity of compounds 1 and 2 on MRSA was found for the first time.
