| Abstract: | A variety of 4-arylquinoline-2-thiones and 3-arylthieno2,3-b]indoles were synthesized in high yields via TfOH-promoted tandem Friedel-Crafts alkenylation-cyclization reactions of 2-alkynylphenyl isothiocyanates. |
