On the Irrationality of Certain Series

Abstract:	In this note we consider the irrationality of certain series of the form $sumnolimits_{n = 1}^infty{b_n l^{ - a_n } }$ . A conjecture of P. Erds in [Sur lirrationalité dune certaine série, C. R. Acad. Sci., Paris, Sér I 292(1981), 765-768] is confirmed, and the theorem of the same paper is generalized.
