An Analysis of the Possible Cause of the Self-similarity in Network Traffic

Research on self-similarity traffic control has been widely noticed. Some results proved that self-similarity was a common property of network traffic, and self-similarity exhibits different queuing features from the traditions models. The theories relation to self-similarity in network traffic are explained and correlative research works are investigated in detail in the study, then the cause of self-similarity in network are analyzed elementarily.
