Abstract:
A review on the use of fluorescence polarization in immunoassay procedures is presented. Only the determination of low molecular-weight substances, such as therapeutic agents, drugs of abuse and hormones is considered because the measured change in fluorescence polarization depends on the molecular size of the analyte. The study emphasizes and appraises the analytical features of the methods so far proposed.
