Red numbers and quadratic field

A natural number is said red if the period of the continued fraction of its square root has odd length. For any quadratic field \mathbbQ(?D)\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{D}), we show how the parity of the periods length of the continued fractions of its irrationalities depends on the redness of their discriminant.
