Abstract: | Synthesis of flowerlike Zn nanoplate aggregates by vapor deposition is reported. Zn, ZnO and activated carbon powders were used as evaporation sources. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption spectroscopy were employed to characterize the samples. The obtained flowerlike nanostructures had high-crystalline, super-thin and crystallographic-oriented nanopetals. The two-dimensional structures of Zn nanoplates have potential application in sensor and nanodevices. |
