Abstract:To decrease the storage capacity of guide star catalogue and increase the success rate of star identification,a fast all-sky autonomous star identification algorithm based on P vector and triangle incircle is proposed.When the guide star catalogue is constructed,the guide star is selected from astronomical durchmusterung and numbered.The guide star sub-catalogue is constructed by P eigenvalue,the guide triangle incircle radius R and the third angular distance of guide triangle.When the star map is identified,the guide star order number of guide triangle is found,which can satisfy the P vector value and guide triangle incircle radius R in some range of error.The star order number is used for star identifying,which is corresponding with the third angular distance of observation triangle.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better robustness for position error and magnitude error.When the Gauss noise of position error is 2 pixels,the identification rate is greater than 97.8% and the average identification time is 14.06 ms.
