| Abstract: | Worldwide demand for both jet fuel and diesel is growing considerably. In Europe and Asia, the demand for middle distillates is clearly higher than that for lighter products. Hydrocracking is an important technology to increase high-quality middle distillates; the key of hydrocracking technology is catalyst. Recently, both amorphous and zeolite-containing hydrocracking catalysts have been developed to keep up with the changing market needs. In this article, pilot plant results with the amorphous and zeolitic hydrocracking catalyst are described. |
