Vibrational density of states of the hydrogen sites in hydrogen-bonded molecular solids |

| Abstract: | Inelastic neutron scattering measurements of the incoherent dynamical structure factor of hydrogen-bonded molecular solids are reviewed. Particular attention is devoted to ice and ice-like polycrystalline samples. Their vibrational density of states is discussed in terms of the influence of proton disorder, anharmonicity and fluctuations of the force constants on the width and shape of the band. |
