| Abstract: | The composition and structure of the ionized form of 3-nitroaniline in the HCl-DMF system were found by Multiple Attenuated Total Reflectance IR spectroscopy. The stage of ionization is the replacement of a DMF molecule in the HCl·DMF complex by an indicator molecule. The ionized form contains the strong quasi-symmetrical N…H…Cl hydrogen bond. |
