玄学与玄言诗

玄学是正始年间流行起来的一种学术思潮。玄言诗和玄学并不是同步发展的。西晋玄学家追慕清谈风度,不重著述。东晋偏安江左,朝野苦闷,力追精神解脱,故玄风大畅。玄学与文学多方位交互渗透,最直接的结果便是成熟玄言诗的产生。东晋后期至刘宋时勃兴的山水诗和田园诗逐渐取代玄言诗。玄学在南朝仍余脉不断,直至隋灭陈后,南北重新统一才告平息。玄言诗和玄学一前一后退出历史舞台。
