Calculation of transport coefficients of air plasmas

Abstract:This paper is devoted to results of calculation of the main transport coefficients of air plasmas: electrical and thermal conductivities and viscosity. These calculations are performed for pressures between 1 and 200 atm and for temperatures varying from 1000 to 30,000 K. The computational methods proposed by Devoto from the classical formalism described by Hirchfelder et al. are used. Collision integrals for interactions between charged particles are calculated using the formalism of Mason et al. to account for the fact that, in most of the situations considered here, the number of charged particles in the Debye sphere is weak.
