Abstract:Tapping mode atomic force microscopy (TMAFM) was employed to directly calculate the persistence length of individual fetal bovine epiphyseal and mature nasal cartilage aggrecan monomers, as well as their constituent chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan chains.
