| Abstract: | Pyridinium bromochromate is a recently reported reagent for oxidation. The i.r. spectra of pyridinium bromochromate has been recorded in solid phase in the region 200-2000 cm−1. The vibrational assignment has been made for bromochromate ion on the basis of C3ν. symmetry and a normal co-ordinate analysis has been attempted. The results are briefly discussed. |
