Abstract: | The self-diffusion of 64Cu in Cu was investigated in the high temperature range (1078 to 1348 K), applying the tracer-standard sectioning technique. For the frequency factor D0 and the activation energy Q0 we found D0 = (0.68 )cm2 · s−1 and Q0 = (2.17 ± 0.02) eV. A slight bending of the Arrhenius plot suggests a divacancy contribution to the self-diffusion of copper. Data sets used in an numerical analysis are in good accord with published results. |
