Abstract: | The electronic partition functions of atoms and singly-charged positive ions are presented, for 52 elements, in the form of the second-order polynomials of temperature, which are valid between 7000 and 12000 K. The errors in the partition functions calculated with these polynomials are, at most, of the order of 1% for most of the elements listed. The limitations of the results and the causes of errors are discussed. |
