| Abstract: | A relation between localization of phonon modes in a disordered elastic chain and absence of quantum heat conductivity is shown. The frequency dependence of the localization length of normal modes is found at various degrees of disorder. The similarity of the problem of phonon localization and of electron localization is established. |
