| Abstract: | Excitonic surface polaritons are excited resonantly in ZnTe utilizing attenuated total reflection (ATR). Lineshape analyses of ATR and normal-incidence-reflection spectra yield the eigenenergies of excitonic surface and bulk polaritons. Comparison of ATR and reflection spectra with luminescence spectra invalidates a recently published attribution of luminescence maxima to excitonic surface polaritons. |
