Abstract:The polymerization of styrene catalyzed by microemulsions was investigated in the system of A s/ n C 4H 9OH/20%PhCH=CH 2/H 2O(A s:sodium dodecylsulfonate).It was found that the microemulsion structures effect the polymerization of styrene,and the catalytic reactions occurred at the transition point from bicontinuous(BC) to oil in water(O/W).At the same time,it is also found that the polystyrene molecular weights depended on the structures of microemulsion.
